Lady Pioneers Ranked #3 in First USCAA Poll

Thanks to a 10-2 start to their season the Alfred State volleyball is ranked #3 in the the first USCAA poll of the 2014 season. The Pioneers received 287 points in the poll.

After opening up the season with a 3-2 weekend at the USCAA Tip-off Tournament at Penn State Beaver, the Lady Pioneers have won seven straight. The team is 7-2 in USCAA play.

Florida College is ranked #1 in the first poll followed by Rochester (MI) College. Rochester is the only team to defeat the Lady Pioneers this year. Berea College, Cincinnati-Clermont, Maine-Fort Kent, Marygrove, Unity, New Hampshire Tech, and Tennessee Temple round out the top ten.

Alfred St. has the highest winning percentage (.833) and the longest current winning streak in the USCAA.

The blue & gold have this weekend off but return to action on Wednesday when they host Elmira College at 7 p.m.
