Game Notes:

  • The Pioneers and Kats meet for the 18th time overall and for the 13th straight year. This is most likely the last meeting between the two schools.
  • Rasheed Williams is one of two running backs in NCAA DIII with over 1,000 yards. He has rushed for 1,097 yards on the year and has recorded 100-yard games in all five of the Pioneers contests thus far.
  • Erie has played in four games decided by ten points or less including two games decided by three or less.
  • The Kats rushing attack has struggled gaining only 50.3 yards per game. Roman West has accounted for 256 of their 302 rushing yards.
  • Erie QB's have thrown nine interceptions in their first six games. The Pioneer defense has picked off only three passes all year but two came in Alfred State's victory over Apprentice two weeks ago.
  • Jake Bahantka is slated to make his second career start this week at quarterback. The freshmen is 28 for 59 for 360 yards on the year with two TD's and one interception.
  • The Pioneer defense came up with three turnovers in the victory over Apprentice. The defense needs to continue to make consistent big plays in the 2nd half of the season. The Pioneers have only one sack, three interceptions and six fumble recoveries on the year.
  • Former Pioneer Debray Williams has 21 tackles and has 170 kick return yards on the year for Erie.
  • Fans are encouraged to wear Blue to the contest to support the Pioneers. Tailgating in Lot 20 will begin at approximately 5 p.m. with a live DJ and cornhole competitions.
