Game Notes:

  • The Pioneers and Builders battle for the 2nd time this season. On Oct. 4th, Alfred St. scored 31 unanswered points in the 2nd half to erase a 30-13 deficit en route to a 44-30 victory. 
    • Rasheed Williams rushed for 313 yards and five scores on 27 carries in the game.
    • Joseph Hodge rushed for 187 yards and a score for the Builders.
    • Tyler Siddle picked off two passes to stop two Builder drives.
  • The home team in this series has won every game. Alfred State has won the last two meetings both held at Pioneer Stadium.
  • The Alfred St. offense will look to get back going after being held to just 61 yards (-4 yards rushing) last week vs. St. John Fisher. 
  • Apprentice will look to slow down Rasheed Williams. In his two contests vs. the Builders, Williams has rushed for 650 yards.
  • The Builders have used three different quarterbacks this year. Michael Roberts started vs. Alfred State earlier in the year. Deon Lavender has played in all seven games, Roberts has played in only three, and Caleb Heath has played in five. The trio has completed 55.6% of their passes and have thrown seven TD's and seven interceptions.
  • Carl Williams has been a key member of the Pioneer defense. He has made 21 tackles (4 for a loss of 39 yards), has forced two fumbles, and picked off a pass in his four games thus far.
  • Alfred State will look to find more consistent play from a #2 wide receiver. Erik Simmons has caught 29 passes and six of the Pioneers seven receiving touchdowns. Josh Ashley and has caught 17 passes and Jason Gordon has caught 10.
  • Ryan Ransom has been tough on the DL for Apprentice. He has 42 total tackles with 10.5 tackles for a loss of 54 yards.
  • The Pioneers and Builders are both members of the USCAA. The Pioneers are ranked #2 in the six team poll while the Builders are ranked #4.
