Pro Day a Success for Williams
Surrounded by teammates, coaches, and friends, Rasheed Williams (Swedesboro, NJ) showed his strength, speed, and agility to NFL scouts on Wednesday at Alfred State. Williams has been climbing the NFL Draft charts since finishing his playing career this past fall.
Williams, who has received interest from the Houston Texans, the New York Jets, and the Arizona Cardinals thus far, performed a gauntlet of drills. During the 2.5 hour pro day, Williams performed the broad jump, the vertical jump, the 225-lb bench press drill, the 40-yard dash, various cone and agility drills, and caught passes from out of the backfield.
Since graduating this fall, Williams has spent most of his time with his agent Dr. D.S. Ping in Michigan training for his chance in front of NFL Scouts. The pro day style workout at Alfred State was the third time Williams has been able showcase his skills.
Williams hopes to hear his name called during the 2015 NFL Draft. The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 30 - May 2 in Chicago.
