Bathgate, Caltagirone, and Wilson Named Athletes of the Week
Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester), Caitlin Caltagirone (Holland), and Dashown Wilson (Bronx/DeWitt Clinton) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Bathgate was the top finisher for the Pioneers on the 8k AMCC Championship course at Penn State Behrend. He finished 10th in 26:56.8 (5:25/mile) to help the Pioneers to a 3rd place finish.
Caltagirone was the top finisher for Alfred State at the AMCC Championships. She finished 6th on the 6k course in 24:16.3 (6:30/mile). The Pioneers finished 3rd overall in the race.
Wilson had a big day at Dean on Saturday. He rushed for 217 yards and three scores (6.4 yards per carry) and passed for 279 yards and four scores. He rushed in from 6, 46, and 1 yards out and connected on 25, 64, 10, and 64 yard touchdown passes.
