Frascella and Gartland Nominated for AMCC FAR Award

Katherine Frascella (Franklinville) and AJ Gartland (Irondequoit) were recently recognized as the the Alfred State nominations for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) Award. The pair of Pioneers were part of 21 student-athletes nominated and were named to the AMCC All-Academic Team.

Frascella is a nursing major with a 3.94 GPA, she was named the 2019 ASC Academic Award Winner, was a member of the AMCC third place team, named to the AMCC All-Sportsmanship Team, and was a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Student-Athlete Award.

Gartland carries a 4.0 GPA in architecture, he was named the 2019 & 2020 ASC Academic Award Winner and represents the baseball team on SAAC.

Mount Aloysius College's Katie Mirance and Penn State Behrend's Chris Drozynski were named the FAR Award Winners. The FAR Award winners and All-Academic team respresent student-athletes that have been successful in the classroom, in the community, and in their respective sport.
