Women's Swimming & Diving Team Named Athletes of the Week

The entire women's swimming & diving team has been named the Mach Architecture Alfred State Athletes of the Week. The Pioneers earned the college's first AMCC Championship with a stellar performance over the four-day championship.

Members of the team included Payton Armstrong (Highland Mills/Monroe Woodbury), Veronica Boller (Wales/Iroquois), Elizabeth Furmansk (Albion), Elizabeth Jurs (Elba), Alina Kisluk (Hamburg), Leaha Langerman (Wayland Cohocton), Kelsey Lynch (Wellsville), Hannah Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Rebecca Stevens (Wellsville), and Sarah Stevens (Wellsville).

The Pioneers won eight AMCC event championships. The 200 medley relay (Armstrong, M. Snayczuk, Lynch, and S. Stevens), the 100 fly (M. Snayczuk), 1 meter diving (Langerman), 400 medley relay (Armstrong, M. Snayczuk, S. Stevens, Kisluk), 100 back (Armstrong), 100 breast (M. Snayczuk), 200 back (Armstrong), and 3 m diving (Langerman).

Langerman was named the AMCC Diver of the Meet while Head Coach Mike Smiechowski was named the Coach of the Meet.
